About the Role
Netsync Managed Services is seeking an Enterprise Network Engineer II (L2) to support enterprise networking environments for our managed services customers. This role is based in Dallas, TX and is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, network configuration, and escalation support for complex network incidents.
The L2 Engineer will serve as a technical escalation point for L1 engineers, assisting with deeper troubleshooting and performing configuration changes within customer environments.
This position supports a 24x7 managed services environment and requires strong enterprise networking knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Network Troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network incidents across enterprise environments.
  • Analyze routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
  • Support troubleshooting for:
    • LAN/WAN/SDWAN infrastructure
    • Wireless networks
    • VPN connectivity
    • Firewall policies
    • Network performance issues.

Escalation Support
  • Serve as the escalation point for L1 engineers.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Assist in developing troubleshooting procedures and documentation.

Network Configuration & Changes
  • Implement approved network configuration changes.
  • Support firmware upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist with network deployments and infrastructure changes.

Customer Communication
  • Provide technical updates to customers during incidents.
  • Participate in technical troubleshooting calls when needed.
  • Document root cause analysis and remediation steps.

Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and network diagrams.

Required Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of enterprise networking experience
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
    • Advanced switching technologies
    • VPN technologies
    • Firewall fundamentals
    • Wireless networking
  • Experience with Cisco networking platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, Meraki)
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise WAN environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco CCNP or higher
  • Experience with:
    • Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco firewalls

Additional Requirements
