Job description

Tier II IT Support Administrator (MSP Experience Preferred)
Eden Prairie, MN (Onsite)
$50,000-$55,000 Salary + Benefits
Are you the type of IT professional who stays calm when users are frustrated, enjoys solving technical problems quickly, and can juggle multiple priorities without things slipping through the cracks?
We're hiring a Tier II IT Support Administrator to join our growing IT team in Eden Prairie, MN. This is an onsite role supporting end users across multiple environments with a strong focus on remote troubleshooting, account administration, licensing support, and first-response networking support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on exposure to different systems, environments, and technologies - especially candidates coming from an MSP (Managed Service Provider) background.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide Tier II technical support to end users over phone, email, and remote support tools
  • Troubleshoot networking, connectivity, and user access issues
  • Support Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) administration
  • Add, remove, and manage user licenses and permissions
  • Respond to support tickets and prioritize multiple requests throughout the day
  • Assist users who may be frustrated or experiencing urgent technical issues
  • Escalate advanced technical problems when needed
  • Support a fast-paced environment with multiple clients, systems, and architectures

What We're Looking For
  • 1-3+ years of IT support or help desk experience
  • MSP experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting users remotely in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with:
    • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
    • Microsoft 365 administration
    • User account management
    • Basic networking support
  • Experience supporting larger user environments (500+ users) is a plus
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing requests
  • Comfortable working with frustrated users while maintaining professionalism
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset and urgency

Candidates Who Tend to Do Well Here
  • IT Support Specialists
  • Service Desk Analysts
  • Help Desk Technicians
  • MSP Support Technicians
  • Technical Support Administrators
  • Desktop Support Technicians
  • Tier II Support Engineers

Preferred Backgrounds
Experience from companies such as:
  • Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
  • Corporate IT support environments
  • IT consulting firms
  • Multi-site organizations

Compensation & Benefits
  • $50,000-$55,000 base salary
  • Full-time onsite role in Eden Prairie, MN
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
  • Career growth opportunity within a growing organization
  • Exposure to multiple technologies and environments

Why This Role?
This is not a repetitive "password reset only" help desk role. You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple systems and environments while building real-world troubleshooting skills that can accelerate your IT career.
If you thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving problems, and want exposure beyond a traditional internal IT support desk, we'd love to connect with you.
