Required to pass a Maintenance Aptitude Test with a 70% or above to be considered.

POSITION: SCALE
TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR
This position will manage all premises computer/network equipment including servers, switches, cabling, printers, and desktop systems at the JBS Grand Island Beef Plant. This person will also provide technical support for all plant personnel with any IT/Scale related tasks or challenges.  
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • In charge of scales tech department and IT department
  • Support and manage all on premises computer/network equipment including servers, switches, copper and fiber cabling and desktop systems, mobile devices (Windows tablets/laptops, Android phones/tablets, rf scanners) 
  • Sustainably document all Local Area Network IDF locations, ports, drops, panels, etc. 
  • Sustainably document "Standard Operating Procedures" for site specific technologies in use at the facility 
  • Support and manage IP camera server systems and connected IP camera hardware including configuration and maintenance 
  • Provide hardware/software diagnostics and troubleshooting for network, hardware/software issues 
  • Manage technology projects in compliance with IT hardware and security standards 
  • Provide hardware and data network support for production computer systems 
  • Support and ensure compliance of all cybersecurity policies at the production facility 
  • Assist users with equipment procurement or new systems access 
  • Other duties as needed
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 
  • Five years related IT experience 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Windows security policy including user & group permissions, Active Directory, etc. 
  • In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting and deployment of Windows10/11 Enterprise operating systems 
  • Experience with Office 2016, 2019, 0365, Microsoft cloud technologies- MFA 
  • Experience with Cisco IOS switch configuration and troubleshooting with a fundamental understanding of Cisco network VLAN technology 
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of Ethernet network cabling and connectivity 
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal (Spanish language is a plus) 
  • Must have strong customer service and support skills 
  • Must be willing to work in a plant/industrial environment 
  • Must be available and "on-call" for unexpected plant emergencies 24/7 
  • Must be willing to travel if necessary (uncommon) 
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED; Associates or Bachelor's degree in IT related subject or discipline (CS, CIS) or equivalent experience. MCSA/MCSE, A+ Certification or equivalent experience.
