Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking a Network Services Engineer III with Secret Clearance for a role at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. The Network Services Engineer will provide expert guidance and support in managing complex networked systems that handle the secure transmission of voice, data, and video information, requiring deep knowledge of network architecture and cybersecurity practices.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzing and recommending network requirements.
• Recommending and maintaining network architecture and infrastructure.
• Analyzing network workload.
• Monitoring network capacity and performance.
• Diagnosing and resolving network problems.
• Recommending network backup and recovery procedures.
• Installing, testing, maintaining, and upgrading network operating systems software; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Secret Clearance.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience in network engineering/services.
• Proven experience in network planning, implementation, and support.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and security principles.
• Experience with performance monitoring tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA).
• Proficiency with network operating systems and hardware.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
