Job description

Job Summary:
Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead their technology operations and ensure their systems remain secure and reliable. The role involves managing enterprise infrastructure, optimizing network connectivity, and providing technical support while contributing to the organization's technology strategy.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain enterprise infrastructure including Dell PowerEdge servers, Microsoft Windows Server environments, Cisco switches, wireless networks, firewalls, NAS systems, and cloud-based services.
• Design, support, and optimize network connectivity across multiple locations.
• Protect organizational systems and sensitive data through proactive cybersecurity measures.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, user access, security permissions, and cloud technologies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network, server, and infrastructure issues.
• Manage backup systems, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity processes.
• Support telecommunications and VoIP systems across multiple sites.
• Provide advanced technical support, user training, and Help Desk assistance as needed.
• Lead technology projects, upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
• Partner with vendors and service providers to ensure exceptional technology performance and support.
Qualifications:
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible IT, network administration, systems administration, or infrastructure management experience.
• Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of: Cisco networking equipment and wireless infrastructure, Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, and network security, Active Directory and user account management, Backup and disaster recovery systems, Voice and data networking technologies, VoIP systems and telecommunications support.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
