GENERAL SUMMARY:ย 

The IT Security Program Manager will play a key role in the successful implementation, administration, and execution of Henry Ford Health Strategic Security Roadmap. Provides guidance in defining scope of assigned security program(s) activities and maintains all necessary program level documentation and contributes in the coordination of initiatives to complete on time, on specification, and on budget. The IT Security Program Manager works in collaboration with all functional areas relative to information technology systems, networks, applications, voice and data communications, and computing services within Henry Ford Health (HFH). Provides consulting and regulatory compliance guidance on strategic and technical initiatives and is knowledgeable of information security best practices and regulatory and compliance requirements that impact security for the enterprise. The IT Security Program Manager is a key team member of the Information & Network Security Services Department. This position will work in a collaborative effort with IT to assure security programs and technical controls are in compliance with policies, applicable laws, and regulations.ย 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:ย 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, and Information Systems, Information Assurance or closely related field required. Degree in other areas with appropriate level of experience and expertise is acceptable.
  • ย Experience providing working knowledge and skills in the following: Security laws, mandates, standards and best practices (i.e., HIPAA, ISO, ACA, DFIS, NACHA, Payor customer group security requirements, PCI, HITECH, GLB, etc.).ย 
  • Minimum Ten (10) years related experience, which includes five (5) years of operational and technology auditing experience, and three (3) years of operational or IT risk experience.ย 
  • Experience or knowledge of technical and operational, business and healthcare environment preferably Payor related healthcare activities.ย 
  • Familiarity with national security standards, business continuity, disaster recover, auditing, risk management, vulnerability assessments, regulatory compliance, and incident management.ย 
  • Strong understanding of project management and information technology background.ย 
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license required. Good analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to solve problems in a dynamic team environment and handle multiple assignments in a timely manner.
  • ย Experience in conflict management skills necessary to resolve issues where corporate areas disagree.ย 
  • Ability to effectively interface with various levels of management internally and as well as contacts outside the organization.
  • ย Must be able to travel to other HFH and Subsidiary facilities and vendor sites to meet with operating or audit personnel.
