About the role

The Team Leader is responsible for directing teammates in their respective area and managing day-to-day operations so that the team meets it required level of production.  The team leader is responsible for the coordination of inbound and outbound product movements within the distribution center.  Ensure that client orders are shipped in a timely manner to meet client expectations. Monitor and document the daily volume of inbound and outbound in departmental records.  Team leader works closely with his or her teammates to resolve client problems and reports as required on performance, issues and resolutions.  Teammate will follow all Insight policies and procedures.  Each person is accountable for meeting or exceeding individual and/or departmental metrics. What you'll do at Insight:

  • Effectively utilize a variety of communication tools to ensure key issues are communicated to teammates and management. 
  • Provides support in organizing and facilitating department or company meetings. 
  • Assume the managers role during manager absence. 
  • Proactively takes accountability for getting things done, driving tasks through to completion. 
  • Maintain work flow and follow safety procedures and guidelines. 
  • Assists in daily work flow to reduce or eliminate overtime. 
  • Work closely with management team to implement new process and procedures. 
  • Adhere to safety standards, immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions 
  • All other duties as assigned.

What were looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.   
  • A minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience.   
  • Team Lead or Supervisory experience required.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees.  
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.  
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interprets the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.   
  • Ability to write using original or innovative techniques or style.   
  • Ability to make effective and/or persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and/or boards of directors. 
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills. 
  • Tracks and submits ideas and solutions for improvement. 
  • Exhibit a strong focus and attention to detail. 
  • Flexible in their approach to tasks. 
  • Proven ability to use initiative. 
  • Must be flexible to the needs of the client as this may require working outside of normal working hours. 
  • Must be experience in the use of Word and Excel.
