Compensation: $95,000 - 115,000 plus up to 5% bonus, up to 150%

Job Summary

As a Network Administrator (Global) you are responsible for Provide technical expertise in IT infrastructure and network platforms for global operations. Design and implement infrastructure solutions in collaboration with business and product development teams. We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator that brings a broad set of skills to ensure operations in the region (Canada, USA, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia). Further, support EMEA and APAC.

Primary Responsibilities

Network Operations

  • Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues, outages, and connectivity problems
  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, and firmware upgrades
  • Support network-related incidents and service requests in line with SLAs
  • Maintain documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and procedures
  • Coordinate with global teams; support 24/7 operations
  • Make recommendations for the enhancement of the operational processes.
  • Conduct monthly (weekend) maintenance activities.
  • Guide the local and regional IT Staff to ensure G+D IT Networking strategies

Project Support & Design

  • Participate in network design and implementation for business-driven projects
  • Assist in planning and deploying new sites, network upgrades, and expansions
  • Contribute to firewall and segmentation design based on security requirements
  • Work with senior engineers/architects on solution design and validation
  • Implement and maintain network security controls and best practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with infrastructure, systems, and application teams
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on incidents and project progress
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while taking ownership of resolution
Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in managing and configuring Networks
  • Experience in information security
  • Working experience in a Global team and supporting Global customers.


Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of network management (Cisco, Fortinet) is mandatory.
  • Good Experience with Windows, Linux, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Radius and Tacacs
  • Knowledge about SDWAN and Wireless technologies is appreciated.
  • Experience in structured and formalized IT operations according to ITIL standards.
  • Working experience in network monitoring systems
  • Able to rack servers and networking devices incl. cable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate IT needs to organization leaders.
  • Self-organizes, collaborates and manages efforts with peers and across responsibilities 

Education:

  • University or College Degree in the technology-related field or equivalent work experience
  • Certification in Networking
Working Conditions
  • Safety Shoes/boots are mandatory on the Production/Manufacturing floor;
  • Limited travelling is required;
  • Providing Level 3 support after-hours;
  • Available to work flexible hours and weekends to conduct maintenance and upgrades
