Job description

Join a dynamic team as a Network Operations Specialist in Houston, where you''ll play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the Network Operations Center. In this position, you''ll be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to pipeline operations, SCADA systems, and network infrastructure, while working with advanced network management tools. You''ll collaborate closely with various teams to ensure seamless operations in a 24x7 environment, making a significant impact on the organization''s network reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first and second line support for pipeline operations control desk issues, ensuring quick resolution of problems related to phone systems, SCADA servers, and network infrastructure.
  • Utilize network management tools such as SolarWinds and Cisco DNA Center to monitor and maintain IT network infrastructure hardware and applications.
  • Monitor and debug tier 1 and tier 2 Cisco infrastructure issues, including routing, configuration, and performance problems.
  • Manage and resolve data network circuit outages and performance issues, ensuring optimal network utilization.
  • Support documentation efforts for Network Operations Center processes and procedures, maintaining clear and accessible records.
  • Take ownership of NOC trouble tickets, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) certification is required.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in supporting enterprise Cisco networks is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting enterprise Microsoft operating systems is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server operating systems is essential.
  • Experience with network management tools such as Cisco DNA, SolarWinds, or NetScout is preferred.
