Job Description:

GDIT is looking for a Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) Manager, to work in the NOSC of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) mission-critical component agency. The NOSC Manager will be coordinating a team of both government and contractor personnel who support the infrastructure (servers, routers, switches) and cybersecurity framework (firewalls, IPS, security tools) of the component's network. The NOSC Manager works closely with the Service Desk Manager and NOC Manager to ensure high-quality service management of the component's IT resources, to the benefit of the end-user community.
HOW A SOLUTIONS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the NOSC, including network device and server monitoring; implementation of approved changes; and rapid response to critical incidents.
  • Performs supervision of GDIT team members within the NOSC.
  • Serves as the principal contractor liaison with the component's heads of IT Operations, IT Cyber Security, and other government workers about all facets of network and security operations.
  • Contributes to or leads formal briefings to the government customer on operational matters.
  • Works with GDIT network/server engineering staff to refine and develop existing solutions in the customer environment.
  • Interfaces closely with GDIT staff at customer site to coordinate IT service management issues (incidents, service requests, planned changes).
  • Participates in preparing documentation for and enacting Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) on the customer's behalf.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's degree required; 10 or more years of professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree not required if 15 or more years of professional experience
  • 2-5 years in a NOSC environment
  • Experience in the oversight, management, integration, documentation, and
  • implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) and Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) functions and processes.
  • Experience providing management oversight of Network Operations Center and Security Operations Center activities across multiple Information Technology disciplines.
  • Knowledge of the USSS mission and organization.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Strong background with managing operationsinenvironments such asWindows-based and Linux-based virtual environments
  • Experience managing technicalspecialists who are monitoring and configuring network equipment
  • US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain an interim Secret Clearance
  • Must be local to the National Capital Region and able to work onsite.

The likely salary range for this position is $142,792 - $166,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
