Summary
The NOC Analyst is responsible for contributing to a successful 24x7 Network Operations Center to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of enterprise IT services across network, systems, security, and data center environments. This role highly requires exceptional attention to detail, prompt response to alarms and incidents, strict adherence to operational procedures and effective communication during service-impacting events. Must provide accurate information to internal teams, management and customers while efficiently working trouble tickets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring & Incident Management
    • Perform real-time monitoring, analyzing and isolation of network infrastructure (WAN/LAN, backbone, SD-WAN, VPN). Along with systems and cloud environments, data center infrastructure and critical applications identified via alarm surveillance.
    • Demonstrate discipline, urgency and attentiveness in responding to alarms and incidents.
    • Perform incident lifecycle management (detection → triage → escalation → resolution) through trouble ticket system.
    • Responsible for detailed documentation of trouble tickets and internal communications.
  • Data Center & Facilities Awareness
    • Monitor and correlate IT alerts with data center facility conditions, including:
      • Power systems (UPS, PDU, redundancy, power events)
      • HVAC and cooling systems (temperature, humidity, capacity)
      • Physical security and access control
      • Fire detection and suppression systems
    • Coordinate with facility teams during incidents impacting IT services
Basic Qualifications
  • Good understanding of:
    • Network technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPN)
    • Systems and infrastructure (Windows, M365, Linux, virtualization, cloud)
    • Familiar with Cisco equipment
    • Familiar with cyber security functions
  • Basic understanding of data center facilities management including:
    • Power systems (UPS, redundancy, power distribution, PUE awareness)
    • HVAC and environmental controls (temperature, humidity, cooling capacity)
    • Physical security and fire protection systems
  • Familiar with IT service management processes and tools
  • Discipline and attention to detail is highly required
