Hunter Communications is looking for an experienced Lead Network Engineer to conduct hands-on POP/cabinet and data center upgrades or replacements of network routing, switching, environmental, and power systems. This individual will manage projects, working with both internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the successful creation and adherence to approved project plans, budgets, and schedules.


Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting networks at OSI levels 1-7
  • Manage BGP and connected hardware
  • Command-line configuration of switches, routers, firewalls
  • Network troubleshooting
  • Assist with designing edge network systems and processes
  • Assist with the design and maintain Hunters Juniper core network
  • Tier 3 NOC support for edge technicians
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in related field
  • Carrier Grade and/or ISP experience
  • Experience with MPLS, L2VPNs and L3VPNs
  • Experience with OSPF, BGP and QoS
  • Optical networking/DWDM
