Position: Network Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA
Work Mode: Onsite

Position Overview:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for supporting enterprise routing, switching, firewalls, VPN connectivity, SD-WAN, wireless networking, and secure remote access solutions. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, operational discipline, and experience working in structured enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain enterprise routing and switching infrastructure
• Support LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and hybrid SD-WAN environments
• Configure and manage firewalls, secure remote access, and network segmentation
• Monitor network health, utilization, resiliency, and performance
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues, outages, and infrastructure incidents
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Support change management, maintenance windows, and operational planning
• Coordinate with telecom vendors, carriers, and internal infrastructure/security teams
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of enterprise networking experience
• Strong experience with Routing & Switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, LAN/WAN
• Hands-on experience with Firewalls, VPNs, and Remote Access technologies
• Experience with Cisco networking technologies
• SD-WAN and network monitoring experience
• Wireless networking administration and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of network security, resiliency, and operational support
• Experience with structured troubleshooting and incident management

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with BGP and dynamic routing protocols
• Cisco ASA / NGFW experience
• Azure or Hybrid Cloud Networking knowledge
• SIEM / IDS / IPS familiarity
• CCNA or CCNP certification
• Government or regulated industry experience preferred
