Job description

NorthHill Technology Resources, LLC  is looking for a SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER for a full-time position at one of our premier clients located in Fairfax, Virginia.  To be considered for this position, you must have a TS/SCI level clearance.  You will be part of a small but strong senior level networks team responsible for architecting, designing, installing, implementing, and maintaining a large multi-agency program based mission essential network infrastructure with very strict security, fault tolerance and latency requirements. Areas of involvement include rack level, data center, and transport layers. The team supports multiple 
programs, all with the same agency requirements and general needs, and provides technical challenges based on ever expanding requirements and mission needs. Most work is performed on-site at customer location, but some travel may be required which may include overseas locations. Strong opportunity for leadership roles and responsibilities in your areas of expertise, with supporting roles in other areas.
Technical Requirements:
•  Minimum 7 years of demonstrated experience in network engineering, design, implementation and 
maintenance
•  Proficiency with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking devices
•  Certifications with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking devices
•  Proficiency with multiple network protocols, to include, TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP (and multicast), TLS, 
VPLS, GRE
•  Experience configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting:
  1.          Routing Protocols (i.e. OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP).
  2.          EVPN (Ethernet over BGP/VXLAN or MPLS/VXLAN)
  3.          Multicast, STP, Virtual LAN’s and Trunking (VLAN’s).
  4.          Local Area Network (LAN) and/or Wide Area Network (WAN).
  5.          Network Controlled Interfaces/Security: Firewall, ACL.
•  Security+ or CISSP Certification
•  Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in groups
Desired Skills:
•  Juniper Certifications (JNCIA/S/P/E)
•  Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
•  Experience engaging with and working seamlessly within a team
•  Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, etc.
•  Experience with networking Linux and/or BSD systems to include system administration
•  Experience working with Multicast protocols
•  Willingness to accept engineering responsibility and present network designs and solutions to 
the team, agency and end customer
•  Willingness to travel in US and globally if/as required
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a closely related 
discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
TS/SCI clearance required.
