Job description

Fantastic OB/GYN Opportunity - Waterbury, Connecticut

We are seeking a BE or BC OB/GYN physician to join our thriving practice in Waterbury, CT. Our group includes four physicians and one midwife, with weekend cross-coverage provided by other local groups. This is a very busy practice, so a new OB/GYN would start with a full patient panel, providing a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care related to pregnancy and the female reproductive system

  • Examine patients and obtain medical histories

  • Screen for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers

  • Deliver babies vaginally or via cesarean section

  • Treat urinary tract and pelvic disorders, hormonal disorders, and sexually transmitted diseases

  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests

  • Create treatment plans and initiate appropriate referrals to specialists and hospital programs

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete patient documentation

  • Collaborate with Practice Management to ensure proper billing and coding compliance

  • Promote wellness and health education

  • Robotic training is a plus, but not required

  • Participate in on-call coverage with other OB/GYN providers

  • Provide quality supervision of Medical Assistants (MAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other clinical staff at the site
