Job description

We are seeking a driven, creative, and highly organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing, this role will support the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives that promote NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh across multiple platforms.


As a key member of the marketing team, you'll help manage promotional campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels while leveraging data and performance insights to optimize results and drive continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring marketing initiatives to life through sales sponsorships, fan engagement events and activations, social and original content, programming, and the networks' digital products.


This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, curious, and motivated marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll gain broad exposure to every facet of the marketing function, working alongside experts in brand strategy, performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, and customer experience while building the skills to become a well-rounded, full-funnel marketing professional.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement on- and off-network marketing initiatives that promote programming tune-in, branded products, and other company initiatives across web, CTV, print, outdoor, radio, and other channels.
  • Schedule, write, and distribute promotional copy for on-network live reads (NESN and SportsNet Pittsburgh), NESN marketing newsletters, push notifications, and off-network campaigns.
  • Own the end-to-end process of creative asset development with the in-house Design & Production teams, including developing creative briefs, proofing assets, coordinating delivery, and reporting on key performance metrics.
  • Track campaign performance across Meta, Google, TikTok, X, and other platforms, conducting measurement and testing to continuously optimize NESN's media mix.
  • Partner with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager to create, proof, and optimize customer communications, including emails, push notifications, and other CRM messaging, leveraging performance insights and best practices to improve engagement and retention.
  • Craft marketing copy and messaging frameworks for organic and paid social media promotions that align with various stages of the marketing funnel.
  • Help create and execute marketing plans and assets featuring NESN on-air talent to support initiatives throughout the year, partnering closely with the Social and Content teams on ideation, execution, and measurement.
  • Assist the Customer Care Lead by responding to fan support inquiries and monitoring customer support queues and escalations as needed.
  • Lead project management efforts for contests and sweepstakes in partnership with Sales, Creative Services, Social, Content, UI/UX, and Legal.
  • Assist the Sales, Marketing, and Digital teams in planning and executing client, fan, and company events.
  • Manage premium merchandise inventory and coordinate related activities.
  • Successfully complete other related assignments and duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2–4 years of experience implementing marketing programs and promotions.
  • Experience working for a professional or collegiate sports team, media organization, or related entity is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to develop compelling, results-oriented copy.
  • Experience with social media and influencer strategy, CRM, SEO, and/or performance marketing is a plus.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across various departments.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Watertown office four days per week.
  • Ability to attend events on evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with WideOrbit is a plus.

The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $61,000 annually. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.
