Job description

Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Advertising and Product Marketing leads the strategy, development, execution and ongoing management of JetBlue brand advertising and marketing across all markets. This role directly supports and develops a team overseeing network marketing, product marketing, and co-brand credit card marketing and advertising.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead marketing strategy, brand campaigns and storytelling across all markets, championing bold, innovative ideas from brief through creative development and approvals
  • Serve as the strategic bridge between business priorities and marketing execution, bringing a creative and innovative lens to developing plans and briefs that align advertising output to JetBlue's commercial objectives across all markets
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to team owning network marketing, product marketing, co-op marketing, and co-brand marketing, ensuring all work ladders up to broader brand and business objectives
  • Develop close relationships with paid media and organic social media peers to ensure strategic alignment with creative, campaigns, and media needs
  • Oversee day-to-day relationships with creative agencies and key external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with marketing leadership and cross-functional commercial colleagues to advocate for strong, strategically-led creative and media choices to reinforce brand identity and positioning across all markets
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess and complete ad hoc projects for the organization
  • Communicate JetBlue's tactical and strategic marketing goals to agency partners and ensure all touchpoints ladder up to the larger business objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team fostering engagement, career growth, and goal achievement
  • Manage advertising and content budget
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience.
  • Six (6) years of marketing/brand/advertising experience with a national brand, with a demonstrated focus on marketing strategy
  • Experience leading large-scale, omni-channel, cross-functional projects
  • Deep understanding of brands, advertising campaigns, advertising process and non-traditional marketing tactics
  • Adept at managing and balancing internal and external cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven track record of managing, developing, and inspiring a team of senior-level individual contributors across distinct marketing disciplines
  • Experience selling-in campaigns and ideas to senior leaders
  • Experience managing agency deliverable and relationships
  • Prior budget management or P&L responsibility experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and AI tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across a wide range of departments and teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Eight (8) years of brand-side marketing experience
  • Experience in the travel industry

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Responsible for ensuring crewmembers have requisite training, resources and support to achieve safety objectives
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:
  • The base pay range for this position is between $141,000.00 and $211,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
