This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of Arctiq's clients. It is a requirement to be onsite in their Winston Salem, NC office 5 days/week.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center environments.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routing, switching, and network security technologies.
  • Manage and support Aruba switching and wireless infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain Juniper networking equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, including VPNs, security policies, NAT, and threat prevention features.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to maximize reliability and uptime.
  • Lead network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure refresh projects.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with systems, cloud, security, and application teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and provide Tier III support for complex networking issues.
  • Ensure network environments adhere to security best practices and organizational compliance requirements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and security.
  • Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to provide strategic guidance on network architecture, infrastructure roadmaps, and technology decisions, with a focus on scalability and supporting future mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion initiatives.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Aruba networking solutions (switching and wireless)
    • Juniper routers and switches
    • Fortinet firewalls
    • Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Deep understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts.
  • Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Strong knowledge of VLANs, STP, QoS, VPNs, NAT, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
  • Experience supporting high-availability and redundant network architectures.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using packet captures and network monitoring tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Arista networking solutions is highly preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as JNCIP/JNCIS, Fortinet NSE/FCP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Aruba ACSP/ACMP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience supporting SD-WAN environments is a plus.
