About The Role
Riot is expanding our footprint into hyperscale data centers for AI and HPC clients, and we're looking for a Manager, Network Infrastructure to help shape the future of digital infrastructure.
As our Manager, Network Infrastructure, you will lead the design, operation, security, and continuous improvement of Riot's enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of wired, wireless, WAN, and data center network environments that support corporate, manufacturing, engineering, and operational teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set technical direction, manage network priorities, and provide operational oversight while remaining actively engaged in complex troubleshooting, infrastructure projects, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a stable, secure, and high-performing network environment in a fast-paced organization.
This position will be based in Austin, TX with travel to Rockdale, TX as needed.
What you'll be doing
  • Manage, mentor, and develop network engineering resources while maintaining a strong hands-on technical presence.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure network architectures that support corporate offices, manufacturing operations, engineering teams, and data center environments.
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise networking, protocols, switching, and network design.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, availability, and security events; respond to alerts and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain network standards, documentation, diagrams, configurations, operating procedures, and disaster-recovery plans.
  • Lead network troubleshooting and serve as the primary escalation point for complex connectivity, performance, and security issues.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, site deployments, hardware refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure expansion projects in accordance with established change-management processes.
  • Partner with Systems, Security, Engineering, Software, and Operations teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business, operational, and security requirements.
  • Ensure network security best practices are followed, including access control, segmentation, firewall policy management, secure remote access, patch compliance, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Develop and maintain network monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities to provide visibility into network health and performance.
  • Coordinate with field operations, SCADA/OT teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, application teams, service providers, and vendors to deliver stable and secure connectivity.
  • Operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy, making sound technical and business decisions to maintain a secure, resilient, and high-performing network environment.

What you'll have
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent enterprise network experience.
  • Track record leading network and NetOps teams in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
  • Experience administering enterprise firewalls, wireless networks, routers, switches, and secure remote-access solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise networking-routing protocols, switching, and network design.
  • Experience supporting WAN connectivity, site-to-site VPNs, internet circuits, and relationships with telecommunications providers.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, firewall policy management, access control, network monitoring, and incident response.
  • Experience with network monitoring, performance analysis, capacity planning, and complex infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or multi-site enterprise environment is preferred.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, lead projects, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with network automation, scripting, and configuration-management tools is preferred.

Preferred Certifications (Highly Desired)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise, Security, or Data Center.
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
  • Fortinet Network Security Expert or equivalent firewall/security certification.
  • CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
