Mid Level VMWare Virtualization Administration/Engineer with pure storage- MSP experience a huge plus!

Central Point Partners is seeking a Mid-Level Infrastructure Engineer to support a large municipal client in Chattanooga, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys working across virtualization, storage, backup, cloud, and modern workplace technologies in an on-premises environment.

This role will be 100% onsite at the client.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and support VMware virtual infrastructure.
  • Manage and maintain Pure Storage environments.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veeam backup and recovery solutions.
  • Support and administer Google Workspace environments.
  • Assist with AWS infrastructure and cloud-related initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams to maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing infrastructure.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and technical changes.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–7+ years of infrastructure engineering or systems engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • VMware vSphere/ESXi
    • Pure Storage
    • Veeam Backup & Replication
    • Google Workspace Administration
    • AWS (EC2, IAM, VPC, or related services)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Chattanooga, TN.
Preferred Qualifications
  • VMware, AWS, Veeam, or storage-related certifications.
  • Experience supporting public sector or government environments.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP).
