JOB SUMMARY

The Network Engineer, functioning as a subject matter expert, oversees multiple property networks with a focus on high availability and continuous service improvement. Responsibilities include solution development, design, engineering, integration, operation, and escalation support for property LAN, WLAN, and WAN services. This role guides workgroups, resolves complex service requests, and manages CAPEX projects within time and budget constraints. Reporting to the Director of Hotel Technology, the position verifies overall requirements are met for continent IT executives, LAN service providers, end-user computing services, hosting services, and enterprise availability. The Network Engineer provides technical engagement throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, executing initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations to meet security and compliance requirements.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification.

3 years' experience in information technology or network infrastructure management.

2 years' experience with project management and implementation stills.

Preferred:

Technical certifications (ITIL, Cisco, MCSE, etc.).

Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products.

Experience in developing technology roadmaps and strategies.

Demonstrate flexibility to work outside standard hours, particularly during change implementations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders, and IT teams. Added ability to know one's audience and tailoring the language and explanation to the stakeholders involved.
