I2X Technologies is seeking a Network Eningeer to support ongoing activities for a customer in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will be on-site and will require an active Secret clearance.

  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for ensuring reliable connectivity across LAN/WAN environments while collaborating with senior engineers on network design and optimization.
  • Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls from vendors such as Cisco and Juniper Networks.
  • Monitor network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving connectivity, latency, and packet loss issues.
  • Implement and support core networking technologies including VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and basic network security controls.
  • Troubleshoot network incidents across LAN/WAN environments, performing root cause analysis and documenting resolutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support network changes, upgrades, and infrastructure projects.
  • Responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
  • The candidate may be required to support critical activities outside of standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • The ideal candidate brings strong networking fundamentals and a hands-on approach to supporting production environments.
  • Any other required tasks by the program.

  • Active Secret clearance, Top Secret Preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • Requires an IAT Level II 8570 Compliant Certification such as Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA, etc.
  • This position requires a CCNA or JNCIA certification
  • Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development and testing methodologies.
  • Must have an understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
  • Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have firewall experience – especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo AltoMust have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
  • Must have hands on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.

Preferred experience:

  • NSX, vSAN, and AriaExperience with network automation using Ansible
  • Understand standard DOD security practices such as, STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
