Position Overview

We are seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our installation team. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who is eager to learn the AV, lighting, and home automation trade from the ground up.

You will work directly with a Lead Technician to assist in the installation, setup, and troubleshooting of high-end residential technology systems. Every day will bring hands-on learning in the field.

This position starts each workday at the Carbondale office before heading to job sites in Aspen and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Technicians with installation of AV, lighting, and automation systems
  • Pull wire, mount equipment, install speakers, TVs, keypads, and control panels
  • Help build and wire AV racks
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites
  • Learn how to read and interpret system drawings and schematics
  • Support system testing and basic troubleshooting
  • Safely use hand and power tools
  • Load and unload materials and equipment
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions
  • Represent the company professionally on high-end residential job sites
