RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Lowell, AR that is seeking a Network Engineer (Contract/Contract-to-Hire).
Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to join a large enterprise technology team on a contract or contract-to-hire basis. This individual will play a key role in supporting, optimizing, and enhancing a complex network environment while helping drive the evolution of the organization's wireless infrastructure. This opportunity is ideal for a mid-to-senior level network professional who thrives in production environments, enjoys solving complex networking challenges, and can quickly integrate into an established team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure
* Administer and optimize Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, WAN technologies, and routing platforms
* Deploy, manage, and enhance Juniper Mist wireless environments
* Improve wireless performance, reliability, and end-user experience
* Assist with ongoing wireless modernization initiatives and technology transitions
* Monitor network health and proactively identify performance issues
* Support routing, switching, and network security operations
* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to resolve incidents and implement improvements
* Participate in enterprise-scale troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) technologies
* Experience supporting firewalls, WAN connectivity, routing, and VPNs
* Practical experience with Juniper Mist Wireless deployments and optimization
* Strong networking fundamentals including routing and switching
* Proven experience supporting enterprise or multi-site network environments
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience improving and tuning wireless performance within Juniper Mist environments
* Familiarity with AI-driven wireless management platforms
* Experience supporting Cisco wireless environments
* Exposure to Arista networking technologies is helpful but not required
* Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
* Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
