Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field and two (2) years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Healthcare or Academic experience.

Job Summary:

To provide hardware/software support and the technical skills required to administer, design, modify, and maintain a network configuration at the department/school level.

Job Duties:

  • Analyzes, designs, and administers or assists in the performance of network connections/ configurations at the school/department level.

  • Manages the performance of four to five software packages from fairly simple to complex levels of sophistication.

  • Provides training and support of these packages to staff, faculty, and management.

  • Provides programming skills of basic to moderate complexity, utilizing established languages.

  • Consults with vendors, faculty, staff, and management concerning projected enhancements to hardware/software and networking capabilities.

  • Oversees or assists in the physical set-up of communication connections.

  • Performs basic to moderately complex problem determination of reports and resolution, identifying problems at the school/department level.

  • Assists management/supervisor with the development of reports and procedures to optimize the benefits of network capabilities.

  • Provides staff, faculty, and management with training and assistance in the utilization of various software products (i.e., spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and statistical packages)

  • Adheres to internal controls established for the department.

  • Performs related duties as required.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Troubleshooting and resolution of network connectivity issues.

Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule:

On-site, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, and as needed on occasion.
