Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-connected environments.

The ideal candidate will balance hands-on network engineering, end-user support, and infrastructure security, while collaborating with internal IT teams and external partners to align technology with business objectives. This position will also act as a key escalation point for both network and desktop-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, administer, and support enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain switching, routing, and firewall environments (Layer 2/Layer 3)
  • Manage network segmentation (VLANs), trunking, STP, and routing protocols (e.g., static, OSPF preferred)
  • Administer and monitor firewalls, security policies, VPN tunnels, and network access controls
  • Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and troubleshooting of latency, packet loss, and outages
  • Utilize monitoring and alerting tools to proactively identify issues (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, syslog, or similar)
  • Maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and standard operating procedures
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices, patching, and compliance standards
  • Support cloud-integrated networking environments (Azure, AWS, or hybrid connectivity is a plus)
  • Act as primary escalation for network-related incidents and outages, including after-hours support when needed
  • Provide Tier 1–2 desktop and end-user support (Windows environment, devices, connectivity issues)
  • Collaborate on IT projects including network upgrades, migrations, and site expansions

Required Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a Network Administrator or Network Engineer role
  • Strong experience with:

    • VLANs, trunking, STP, and network segmentation
    • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and VPN technologies
  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing:
    • Firewalls (policy management, NAT, VPNs)
    • Managed switches and wireless infrastructure
  • Experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, connectivity, and performance issues
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
