Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Network Engineer to join our team in Laurel, MD. You will be part of a dedicated team delivering enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce that supports a wide range of national defense missions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Responsible for supporting customer networks involving cross-domain solutions, including VPNs, one-way data transfers, unclassified mission related infrastructures, and Taclane 175 encryption devices. Specific configurations include routing using MPLS/VPLS, OSPF, EIGRP at the Core and Distribution devices and switching at the Access devices.
* Responsible for performing planning, deployment and quality assurance functions for system and network upgrade projects. * Will develop high, mid and lower-level diagrams and schematics to document the system and network infrastructure for planning, historical and continuity purposes.
* Responsible for designing, installing, configuring, troubleshooting and maintaining a LAN/WAN equipment required to provide telecommunications services in a complex environment consisting of various Cisco network equipment to include Nexus and Catalyst model as well as Integrated Service Routers.
* Responsible for designing networks utilizing switching technology to include VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, trunking, and port aggregation on the WAN/LAN environment. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree with (12) years of relevant experience with technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
* Associates degree with (15) years of relevant experience or high school diploma with (20) years of relevant experience
* Significant experience provisioning and sustaining network infrastructures and have experience developing, operating, and managing networks required to operate in a secure PKI, IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment
* Significant experience with CISCO network equipment, i.e. 9300, 3850, 4900, ASR-2130, etc.
* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certified at the Professional level in Network Security (CCSP), Network Design (CCDP), and/or Routing & Switching (CCNP)
* Able to understand routing protocols, QOS, be able to implement traffic shaping and policing on the network, and understand IPSEC tunneling
* Crypto experience Preferred Qualifications: * Leads medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. * Provides highly technical and specialized guidance and solutions to complex IT problems.
* At least three years of direct experience with and intelligence community. Clearance Requirements: * Must have a current/active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Physical Requirements: * The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. * Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication.
