Job description

SBD is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support a state government network engineering program. Hybrid; approximately 50% on-site at client locations and lab environments across Maryland. Must reside in Maryland.
Responsibilities: install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and related equipment; assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution; maintain network documentation and inventories; support lab testing and field deployments.
Required: 1-3 years network support or engineering experience; working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing fundamentals; Cisco IOS familiarity; valid driver's license and reliable transportation; Maryland resident; U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
Preferred: CCNA or Network+; associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field.


Location: Laurel, MD. Hybrid, roughly 50% on-site at client sites and lab environments.
