Theย JOB.TITLEย supportsthe security, stability, and availability of Interfor's network infrastructureacross multisite manufacturing and corporate environments. This handson roledelivers network administration, supports mill and office connectivity,resolves escalations, and partners closely with internal teams and externalvendors to improve reliability and standardization.

This role is for an existingย on-siteย vacancy and can be based out of one of thefollowing locations with up to 40% travel across Canada and the US:

  • Sault Ste. Marie Division: 1195 Peoples Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6C 3W7
  • Timmins Division: 267 McChesney Rd, Timmins, ON P4N 7C3

What You'll Do

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support enterprise networks across corporate and remote sites, ensuring reliable availability of LAN/WAN, WiFi, VPN, firewall, and site connectivity services.
  • Install, configure, and manage network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, and related services throughout their full lifecycle.
  • Maintain secure, resilient, and standardized networks by applying best practices, validating backups and configurations, and supporting redundancy, failover, and refresh initiatives.
  • Plan, implement, and document network changes and operations, maintaining accurate diagrams, standards, and procedures while following established change management processes.
  • Collaborate with IT, OT, cybersecurity, vendors, and site teams to deliver secure multisite connectivity, support WAN circuits and site turnups, resolve incidents, and participate in oncall support as required.

  • Experience: 5+ years in a network administration role in a manufacturing environment
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - required
  • Education: University Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or similar
  • Technical: Strong understanding of enterprise networking in a multisite environment, including TCP/IP, routing and switching, wireless technologies, physical media, and network security (firewalls, VPNs, and segmentation), along with handson experience monitoring networks, troubleshooting incidents using logs/data, and supporting deployments and upgrades.
  • Professional: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders, produce effective documentation, manage competing priorities, and continuously learn in a dynamic IT/OT operating environment.
  • Travel: up to 40%, must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, be comfortable flying, renting a car and driving to remote locations across Canada and the USA, and have a personal credit or debit card to charge travel expenses and submit for reimbursement.
