Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, program, and commission OT equipment commonly found in industrial control systems.
  • Design and maintain OT network architectures.
  • Implement OT cybersecurity best practices and standards.
  • Lead automation and controls projects from concept through implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain network architecture diagrams.
  • Design and configure VLANs and firewall rules to properly segment and connect OT and IT networks.
  • Configure switches, firewalls, and servers on site once electricians have pulled and terminated wiring.
  • Test and validate communications between OT and IT networks.
  • Ensure builds follow EPA/cybersecurity standards within budget and timeline constraints.

Technical Skills
  • Firewalls, managed switches, servers
  • Network Architecture Diagram Generation
  • EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA, Profinet, MQTT
  • Strong general IT networking background: network architecture/diagram creation, firewall configuration, VLAN setup and segmentation.
