Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network & Systems Administrator to provide onsite IT support for our Atlanta office. This role will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day IT operations, supporting end users, administering Microsoft 365 and cloud services, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring a secure, reliable technology environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on IT professional who is equally comfortable troubleshooting end-user issues, administering enterprise systems, and managing network infrastructure. This position requires excellent customer service, strong technical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting approximately 200 users across onsite and offshore teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

End User Support

  • Provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 technical support for Windows and macOS endpoints.
  • Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Support employee onboarding, offboarding, workstation deployments, and account provisioning.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, networking, and application issues.
  • Maintain documentation for common procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Microsoft 365 & Identity Administration

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Create, modify, and remove user accounts, groups, and licenses.
  • Assist with Microsoft Intune device enrollment, compliance policies, and endpoint management.
  • Support Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and identity security initiatives.

Network Administration

  • Administer and maintain the organization's enterprise network infrastructure, including:
    • Firewalls
    • Managed switches
    • Wireless access points
    • VLANs
    • DHCP
    • DNS
    • VPN
    • Firewall policies
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Configure and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure.
  • Assist with network upgrades, documentation, and security best practices.

Endpoint & Asset Management

  • Manage Datto RMM for endpoint monitoring, software deployment, patch management, and remote support.
  • Prepare, image, deploy, and retire laptops and desktops.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory.
  • Coordinate equipment recycling and asset lifecycle management.

Security Administration

  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support endpoint security, device compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Assist with password management and enterprise credential administration.
  • Monitor systems for operational or security concerns and escalate when appropriate.

General IT Operations

  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers.
  • Support conference room technology, printers, and office infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Network Administration, or IT Support.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience across Windows and macOS environments.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience managing enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, managed switches, wireless networking, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience with endpoint management solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Datto RMM, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong documentation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Experience with Datto RMM or similar remote monitoring and management platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Business or Microsoft Defender XDR.
  • Experience administering SaaS applications and Single Sign-On (SSO).
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles.
  • Experience supporting Apple Business Manager and macOS device management.
  • Industry certifications such as:
    • CompTIA Network+
    • CompTIA Security+
    • Microsoft Certified
    • Cisco CCNA
    • Ubiquiti certifications (preferred but not required)
