Job Description

Responsibilities include:

1. Responsible for installation and maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network of the  IT Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), security, TCP/IP, virtual machines, and server-network infrastructures to support the distributed cloud environment of the SCUBI network.

2. Responsible for installation, configuration and administration of network routers and switches

3. Responsible for installation of cable, wiring and related equipment for the  IT network infrastructure that connects servers, storage, and network components to the  IT network, the NC IT network, and the Xerox cloud data center network.

Qualifications

Expected Skills: 

Ability to install and maintain network components for enterprise networks that are distributed and require a high degree of encryption and security.  

This position requires an advanced degree in computer science and at least 10 years of experience in advance network development, implementation, and maintenance.


Description (including, but not limited to):

Skilled at installation and maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer networks

Specialized knowledge of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), security, TCP/IP, virtual machines, and server-network infrastructures

Specialized knowledge of installation, configuration and administration of Cisco network routers and switches

Specialized knowledge of installation of cable, wiring and related equipment for storage, server, router, load balancing systems

Specialized knowledge of disaster recovery / back up network architectures

Must have at least 10 years' experience in Cisco network design, development and installation.

Must have advance network diagramming skills use a tool like Visio.
