Summary

SRP is seeking a motivated College Intern to support our teams while gaining handsโ€‘on experience in a collaborative, missionโ€‘driven environment. This internship offers students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to realโ€‘world projects that support SRPโ€™s commitment to delivering reliable, sustainable water and power services. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful work, and develop technical and professional skills relevant to their field of study. The role is designed to foster learning, teamwork, and innovation while providing exposure to SRPโ€™s operations and culture. This is an excellent opportunity for students who are eager to learn, grow, and make an impact while exploring a future career with SRP.ย 

The Student Intern will provide support to the Network Support Team and clients.ย  The role requires student be enrolled in a minimum of 6 college credits (100+ level) in Fall and Spring semesters.ย 

The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the departmentโ€™s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

What You'll Do
  • Perform the duties as assigned to maintain and enhance existing network infrastructure.
  • Perform network access control (NAC) administrative tasks and research unknown devices that are discovered on the corporate network.
  • Assist with network administration functions - ordering, receiving, inventory, asset management, and disposing of equipment.
  • Assist with configuring and racking of equipment and cable management.
  • Assist network engineers in supporting wired and wireless networks, firewalls, load balancers, and remote accessย solutions.
  • Maintain documentation for processes andย procedures.
Education
College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.
Experience

The following knowledge and skills are preferred:

โ€ข Experience with networking concepts and equipment.
โ€ข Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Access, Outlook, Exchange
โ€ข Windows Operating Systems
โ€ข SharePoint Administration
โ€ข Excellent written and oral communications skills

Additional Requirements and Qualifications
College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred. Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills.Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications,ย marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
