If you are looking for an exciting career opportunity in the IT, engineering, software development, logistics, and project management fields, Linchpin Solutions is the place to be! We are currently hiring for a dynamic and experienced NetOps Specialist III.


Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance


Work Schedule: Onsite Daily.


Role Overview:

Support the infrastructure and network operation by responding appropriately to alerts and events. Support incident resolution, ensuring appropriate response to escalations. Help coordinate infrastructure repairs including directing remote activities to ensure continuity for service delivery. Review root cause analysis documentation to address performance management and incident correlation issues. Provide data center support where appropriate. Participate in daily shift activities and document in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure continuity for any outstanding issues. Provide incident notification to Government representatives.


General Skillset

  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and individually
  • Critical Thinking Skills
  • Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed

Specific Skillset

  • Monitor the infrastructure and network by responding appropriately to alerts and events.
  • Respond to incidents from triage through resolution, including escalations, where appropriate.
  • Respond to infrastructure repairs, including directing remote activities to maintain operational effectiveness for services.
  • Provide root cause analysis documentation in accordance with Government procedures.
  • Provide data center support where appropriate.
  • Document daily shift activities in appropriate reporting and ticketing tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
  • Provide incident notification to Government representatives.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification and/or an Operating System (OS)/Application Certification such as Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Network+, Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification for Enterprise Services.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching.

Experience Requirements

  • 4+ Years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting a large network operations center
