As a Systems Engineer, you will:
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term lifecycle evaluation of our core network and security environments.
  • Manage and maintain Cisco Security Infrastructure, including Firewalls, Secure Network Analytics, Identity Services Engine (ISE), and Umbrella/ Cisco Secure Access SASE.
  • Manage Corelight NDR infrastructure.
  • Oversee Network and Firewall visibility products, specifically FireMon and NetBrain.
  • Evaluate and drive the infrastructure lifecycle for all the technologies listed above.
  • Apply technical assistance in design, development, and implementation of the security related infrastructure.
  • Work with technical staff to understand and resolve complex infrastructure issues where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various environments.
  • Create and update documentation for existing security infrastructure.
  • Design a comprehensive documentation repository and infrastructure.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and vendors to gather requirements.
  • On-call schedule and weekend work is required.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
  • Visio/Draw.IO experience for network diagraming.
  • 2-5+ years in Network or Network Security Infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of core security concepts, including DMZ's, firewall's, threat protection, and packet inspection services.
  • Hands-on experience across multiple computing disciplines such as operating systems, virtualization, networking, or cloud services.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced infrastructure design skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Expert knowledge in at least one scripting language.
  • Expert understanding of the first 3 ISO layers such as: VLAN Trunking, Routing protocols, spanning tree, cabling standards, or other networking technologies.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years' experience in a healthcare/mission critical IT setting.
  • Certification specific to technologies supported
  • 5-7+ years of experience in Network and Network Security Infrastructure.
  • Packet analysis: solid experience with Wireshark analysis
  • One of the following certifications:
    • CCNP or higher certification
    • CISSP certification
    • GIAC certifications
    • Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA)
