Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a highly experienced NetApp Storage Administrator with over 10 years of expertise in managing, supporting, designing, and deploying NetApp ONTAP environments. The successful candidate will be a migration expert, proficient in NetApp native tools-based migrations, and responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of SAN/NAS environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support NetApp ONTAP environments with deep expertise.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain NetApp storage solutions, including ONTAP, Cloud Volume Ontap, and Azure Netapp Files.
  • Plan, lead, and execute complex data migrations within NetApp environments.
  • Provide lead engineering support for SAN/NAS environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provision storage by creating volumes, LUN mapping, and NAS shares, ensuring OS-level availability.
  • Manage capacity planning, performance tuning, forecasting, and trending for storage systems.
  • Configure SVM-to-SVM data protection relationships, replicating volume data, NFS exports, SMB shares, RBAC settings, and SVM configuration metadata.
  • Set up secure cluster peering and SVM peering to enable cross-cluster data replication for SVM-DR environments.
  • Execute baseline transfers and manage scheduled incremental updates for SVM-level disaster recovery, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Perform SVM failover and reactivation of primary systems, leveraging SnapMirror's fast, nondisruptive DR activation capabilities.
  • Monitor SVM-DR relationships, verifying snapshot retention alignment with protection policies and validating replication health.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork skills while also being able to work independently.

  • 10+ years of NetApp storage experience.
  • Expertise in NetApp native tools-based migration processes, including SnapMirror.
