Job Description: * Provide support to NAVSEA Team Submarine (TEAM SUB) Submarine Ship Building (SHAPM) Program Offices and supporting organizations: PMS 397 - COLUMBIA Class Submarine Program Office, PMS 450 - VIRGINIA Class Submarine Program Office, PMS 351 - Future Attack Submarine (SSN(X)) Program Office, and SEA 05Z - Marine Engineering Competency Domain.
* TEAM SUB is a combination of Program Executive Office (PEO) Strategic Submarine (PEO SSBN), PEO Attack Submarines (PEO SSN), and PEO Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS) and the Direct Reporting Program Office, AUKUS Integration & Acquisition Office (AUKUS). The TEAM SUB concept divides the single submarine-centric organization into specific PEOs with the goal of enhancing the structures and processes in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Required Skills and Experience: Capable of performing the following functions: * Apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. * Design products, machinery, implement improved ways to extract, process, and use raw materials, develop new materials that both improve the performance of products and take advantage of advances in technology.
* Analyze the impact of the products developed or the systems designed on the environment and on the people using them.
* Work in testing, production, or maintenance by supervising production, determining the causes of breakdowns, and the testing of manufactured products to maintain quality.

* Required: Min of 5 yrs Navy experience working with:1. Detailed knowledge of safety requirements as defined in MIL-STD-882E, Safety as well as Environmental and Occupational Health (ESOH) requirements as specified in DOD, SECNAV, and NAVSEA instructions. 2. Detailed knowledge of System Safety Programs, the Programmatic Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order (EO) 12114 Compliance Schedule, and Hazardous Material Management Plan (HMMP). 3. Institutional knowledge of the Weapons System Explosives Safety Review Board (WSESRB) and Software Safety Technical Review Panel (SSSTRP) process and procedures. * Desired: Min of 5 yrs experience with DOD ACAT ID Acquisition Programs working with:1. Detailed knowledge of safety requirements as defined in MIL-STD-882E, Safety as well as Environmental and Occupational Health (ESOH) requirements as specified in DOD, SECNAV, and NAVSEA instructions. 2. Detailed knowledge of System Safety Programs, the Programmatic Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order (EO) 12114 Compliance Schedule, and Hazardous Material Management Plan (HMMP). 3.
