Job description

Kendal at Hanover is a nonprofit Continuing Care Retirement Community, and home to 400+ residents. We have a great full-time opportunity for a Neighborhood Assistant Coordinator. The Neighborhood Assistant Coordinator provides residents living in the assisted living facility with quality service by supporting and guiding the neighborhood assistant team in daily tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Providing support to staff with scheduling, task assignments, and ensuring adequate coverage;
  • Serving as the supervisor for Assisted Living areas in the absence of the Director of Resident Wellness;
  • Serving as a backup for payroll processing and approving/denying time off requests;
  • Taking part in interview, hiring, and training of new staff in collaboration with the Director of Resident Wellness
  • Assisting in facilitating staff meetings, daily huddles, and team communications;
  • Supporting nursing staff with resident dining experience, including transporting meals, setting up meals, and assisting residents with eating;
  • Supporting residents with grooming needs, including brushing/styling hair, oral care, use or razor, and makeup;
  • Answering call bell alerts for residents and providing comfort/support for individual needs

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent education and related healthcare/geriatric experience is preferred. This role requires regular satanding, walking, bending, and use of hands to assist residents and handle equipment. The person in this role will need to lift between 30 and 50 pounds on a regular basis.

This position requires you to work on the weekend and holidays.

Pay: $25.05 - $28.93 per hour
