Job description

URBN is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the development, integration and rollout of our new Digital Material and Color systems and the associated workflows within URBN’s IT Production, Sourcing and Digital Product Creation team.  This role will bridge business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendor partners to ensure the successful development and on-going maintenance of these core foundational systems within the overall PLM platform at URBN.


  • Partner with business stakeholders (Product Development, Design, Color Teams, and Fabric Teams) to gather requirements, define user stories, and clearly translate business needs into actionable work for both internal and external technical teams.
  • Drive delivery of process and systems development in partnership with 3rd party software providers (Bamboo Rose, VibeIQ, X-Rite/Pantone, APEXFiz, NedGraphics) and internal technology resources.
  • Ensure successful user adoption of new technologies and processes by coordinating testing, training, and change management activities across diverse teams at URBN.
  • Provide first line product support, including triaging issues, prioritizing enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives, and helping to coordinate these release cycles to maximize value.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Digital and 3D Fabrics, Digital Colors and related approvals, and Material Inventory and positions.

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, Product Management, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of Technical Fabric Development, 3D and Digital Fabrics and the technology surrounding, Color Standards and spectral data associated for color approvals, and finally an overall understanding of how fabric and color incorporate into the PLM Development cycle.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills, and partnership across business and technology teams.
  • Experience in agile delivery methodologies.
