Quality Control Inspector (QCI)

Location:

  • Temporary: West Chicago, IL
  • Permanent: Northbrook, IL (mid–late summer)

Pay: $20/hour
Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Overview

The Quality Control Inspector inspects components, subassemblies, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards. This role involves visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using drawings, instructions, and quality procedures.


Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Use measuring tools and calibrated equipment
  • Document inspection results in ERP or QC forms
  • Identify and report nonconforming materials
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic math, computer, and metrology skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Manufacturing or QC experience preferred
