Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused Hull Technician (HT) Contractor Instructor specializing in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to support SWESC. This position involves providing instruction, curriculum development and updates, administration, safety oversight, and management support for formalized naval training programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction on advanced welding, NDT of metals, and ultrasonic inspections
  • Support the operation and maintenance of training equipment, training aids, and electronic podiums
  • Apply learning principles and ensure effective presentation, delivery, and testing of course content
  • Maintain and update curriculum and instructional materials as required
  • Conduct safety oversight during all training activities
Requirements:

Instructor Certification:

  • Graduate of the Navy Instructor Training Course (CIN: A-012-0077) (NEC 9502) or equivalent instructor training course

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience in the Hull Technician (HT) rating
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Military Training Environment
  • Former Senior (E5 – E9) HT with shipboard experience within the HT rating

Education and Training:

  • Graduate of the following courses:
    • NDT of Metals: Visual Magnetic Particle Liquid Penetrants Operator/Inspector (A-701-0033)
    • Ultrasonic Inspector (A-701-0058)

Specialized Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive expertise in:
    • Safety procedures and regulations
    • Advanced welding techniques
    • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of metals
    • Ultrasonic inspections for shipboard applications

Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
