NCCAP-certified individuals plan, implement, and oversee activity programs for older adults in long-term care settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living, and adult day centers. Their role is to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing meaningful and engaging activities that meet physical, cognitive, social, and emotional needs. Certification demonstrates a commitment to professional standards and continuing education in the field of activity programming.
