Job Duties

Implement enterprise application projects supporting patient care and safety and hospital clinical applications; responsible for planning, developing and supervising projects to completion using established project management tool and techniques.
Responsible for development, validation, and ongoing maintenance activities for all hospital operational and clinical applications.
Assess institutional needs and develop improvement initiatives accordingly.
Provide leadership and mentoring to a team of applications services professionals.
Support and develop the technical expertise needed to meet long-term organizational needs.
Responsible for annual performance appraisals for applications staff assigned.
Responsible for planning and establishing internal policies and procedure regarding operations, change and problem management, as well as project methodologies around applications.
Oversee communication with and support provided to application end users.
Serve as the primary liaison between third party application vendors and the organization.
Perform quality assurance at technical and procedural levels.
Work with application staff to direct data analytics and performs analysis; provide written and oral reports and proposals to management.
Ensure compliance with local/state/federal regulations as they pertain to the organization’s applications.
Ensure upgrades are reviewed, performed timely and rolled out to stakeholders to ensure successful communication along with working with Tech team from infrastructure standpoint.
Develops a full list of applications, versions, EOL, etc.
Integrate best practices and technology standards across supervised groups.
Collaborate with other IT, hospital departments to ensure cohesiveness in application rollout.
Develop training requirements as needed and have application staff versed on training end users.
Collaborate with other Director/Managers within the department.
Develop interoperability program with applications internally and externally
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Assesses gaps in policies and procedures, and create necessary policies and procedures to fulfill these gaps.
Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.
Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements

Other Duties
Participate in and/or lead multidisciplinary task forces, committees and projects.
Continue professional development through reading, participation in seminars and optional training.
Keep informed on direction and happenings in the healthcare industry and within NBMC.
Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.

Position Qualifications
5+ years of experience working closely with application development teams and software engineers to deliver solutions in a collaborative, innovative manner
5+ years of experience in an application management position
Proven project management track record
Familiarity with healthcare industry
Familiarity with clinical
Familiarity with developing training materials
Proven experience with the complete software application development life cycle
Microsoft Office skills including MS Project
Competent computer skills
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in English

Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related discipline or prior applications management experience required

Travel to offsite locations may be required

Salary commensurate with experience within posted range.

 $110,000 - $150,000
