Job Summary
Levy at American Airlines Center is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented event-based part-time Dishwasher to join our Culinary team. This position supports our designated VIP spaces, Bunker, Platinum, and Admiral kitchens. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment by ensuring all dishes, cookware, utensils, equipment, and food preparation areas meet the highest sanitation standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works well in a fast-paced environment, and supports the culinary team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment or approved handwashing procedures.
  • Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Polish silverware using designated equipment and approved procedures.
  • Monitor dishwashing equipment, water temperatures, and chemical levels to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dish room and kitchen work environment.
  • Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, food preparation surfaces, and other kitchen equipment as assigned.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors while maintaining a safe and hazard-free workspace.
  • Remove trash and recycling, clean garbage containers, and support overall kitchen sanitation.
  • Assist with receiving, unloading, transporting, and stocking supplies and equipment.
  • Follow all company safety, sanitation, HACCP, and workplace procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in food service, hospitality, stadium/arena operations, hotels, clubs, restaurants, or commercial kitchens preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of custodial, janitorial, sanitation, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
  • Valid ServSafe Food Handler Certification and TABC Certification (or the ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
    • Ability to work safely in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environments while maintaining attention to detail.
