Job description

Description:

About Navia Benefit Solutions:
We’re a people first benefit administrator that relies on a fast-growing team of creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and go-getters to bring our participant and client experience to the next level. Our mission? To create better lives and provide a simple and amazing benefits experience. If you love providing excellent service, innovating the way benefits are administered, and being part of an inclusive workplace community, you’ll fit right in.

About the Role:
Navia Benefit Solutions is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Temporary Recruiting Assistant to cover our recruiting function while our primary recruiter is out. This is a hands-on role where you'll own the day-to-day recruiting pipeline — screening resumes, conducting phone screens, and keeping our hiring managers informed and moving. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves connecting great candidates to great opportunities, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and screen inbound resumes against job-specific criteria and scoring rubrics
  • Conduct structured phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and fit
  • Own and manage the full recruiting pipeline across active roles in our ATS
  • Keep candidate records, status updates, and hiring manager notes accurate and up to date
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate logistics between candidates and hiring managers
  • Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the process — from initial outreach through offer stage
  • Flag red flags, trends, or pipeline concerns to HR leadership in a timely manner
  • Support any ad hoc recruiting or HR administrative tasks as needed

Why Join Navia?

  • Impact: Play a pivotal role in supporting employers and employees nationwide.
  • Growth: Advance your skills with a team committed to excellence and innovation.
  • Culture: Join a company that values collaboration, innovation, and customer-first solutions.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary Range: $18-$20/ Hr.
  • Generous health benefits
  • Company sponsored wellness benefits
  • Complimentary Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 6 Paid Holidays & 2 Paid Floating Holidays
  • Work from home and hybrid schedules available!

Requirements:

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System): Hands-on experience navigating and managing candidate pipelines in an ATS is required. Familiarity with tools like Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Workday, or similar is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills: You're comfortable picking up the phone, writing a clear email, and representing Navia professionally to candidates.
  • Attention to detail: You catch inconsistencies, ask good follow-up questions, and know why the details in a resume matter.
  • Highly organized: You can juggle multiple roles and candidates at once without letting anything slip through the cracks.
  • Self-starter mentality: You're comfortable working with some independence, asking questions when needed, and keeping things moving without constant hand-holding.
  • Professional discretion: You understand that recruiting involves sensitive information and handle it accordingly.

Bonus Points For:

  • Prior experience in a recruiting, HR, or staffing coordinator role
  • Familiarity with benefits, HR, or TPA industry terminology
  • Experience drafting or posting job descriptions
  • Coursework or a degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
