DOD Assembly Technician

JSL is seeking a candidate for a challenging technical mechanical assignment. We are looking for a motivated missile technician with Standard Missile (SM) and Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) experience supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme (NSWC PHD) at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, CA. Primary responsibility is encanisterization (Encan), decanisterization (Decan), assembly and disassembly. Provides engineering technical assistance for SM/ESSM operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Follows established SOPs and work instructions and strives towards continuous improvement
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • 3 or more years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Missile assembly / disassembly experience
  • Ecan / Decan
  • Ordnance operations experience

Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
