About the Opportunity

Heartland Consulting is seeking an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Outfitting and Configuration Specialist to support a major U.S. Coast Guard shipbuilding and acquisition program.

This full-time role plays a key part in ensuring successful ship outfitting, configuration management, and logistics support throughout the vessel's construction and delivery phases. The specialist will work closely with the Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) to maintain accurate configuration records and support outfitting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a logistics and configuration professional with experience in complex defense or maritime platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ILS outfitting activities, configuration management, and personnel qualifications tracking for shipbuilding programs.
  • Maintain configuration records, support configuration change processes, and coordinate with logistics and engineering teams.
  • Assist with outfitting planning, spares identification, and configuration status accounting.
  • Support Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings and activities.
  • Track and report on logistics deliverables, configuration baselines, and outfitting status.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), configuration management, or outfitting support for complex systems (shipbuilding or defense platforms strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of CG HALT, ILA, LRR, and U.S. Coast Guard configuration management policies and processes.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance is preferred (or ability to obtain one).
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player who can effectively manage logistics data and configuration baselines in a fast-paced shipbuilding environment. Prior U.S. Coast Guard or Navy ILS experience is highly desired.
