Job description

The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist will support a large U.S. Navy program by planning, developing, and executing lifecycle logistics strategies to ensure systems are operationally available, supportable, sustainable, and compliant with Navy and DoD logistics requirements. This role plays a critical part in system design, acquisition, deployment, and longterm sustainment activities across the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Integrated Logistics Support plans (ILSP) aligned with Navy acquisition and sustainment strategies
  • Provide logistics support across all phases of the system life cycle (design, development, production, deployment, operations, and disposal)
  • Support reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) objectives
  • Conduct Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and maintenance planning activities
  • Develop, review, and manage logistics products including: Maintenance Plans, Technical Manuals (IETMs), Training Requirements and Courseware, Provisioning and Allowance Lists
  • Ensure compliance with DoD 5000 series, MILSTD, NAVSEA/NAVAIR logistics policy, and contract requirements
  • Support provisioning, spares determination, inventory planning, and cataloging
  • Coordinate with configuration management teams to ensure logistics alignment with baseline changes
  • Assist with obsolescence management and modernization efforts
  • Serve as an ILS subjectmatter expert supporting government customers, OEMs, and internal engineering teams
  • Participate in program reviews, design reviews, and sustainment working groups
  • Interface with fleet stakeholders to support operational needs and feedback
  • Perform logistics analyses to support cost, readiness, and sustainment decisions
  • Track logistics metrics and deliver reports to government stakeholders
  • Support audit readiness and lifecycle cost reduction initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support or Life Cycle Logistics within DoD or Navy programs
  • Strong understanding of Navy logistics elements (ILS/IPS elements)
  • Experience supporting acquisition and sustainment programs
  • Ability to work in a crossfunctional, matrixed environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting NAVSEA, NAVAIR, PEO, or SYSCOM programs
  • Familiarity with DoD logistics systems and tools
  • Experience working with shipboard, shorebased, C4ISR, or weapons systems
  • DAU Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) certification or equivalent
