Position Summary

The Wellness Lead oversees the store's natural supplements and health and beauty operations, ensuring smooth execution, with a particular focus on meeting each customerโ€™s health-related needs. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring the department is well-stocked, organized and visually appealing. The Wellness Lead serves as a trusted resource for customers seeking natural health products, vitamins, supplements, and wellness solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with vendor partners to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize inventory shrink
  • Keep up to date with wellness trends and ensure that Totum Market has a timely and relevant product set.
  • Maintain department conditions, including cleanliness, organization, signage, and product presentation.
  • Support labor planning, scheduling, and realโ€‘time labor adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA policies, DSHEA regulations, and company policies.
  • Resolve operational issues quickly to maintain service levels.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of department team members.
  • Analyze daily and weekly reports to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Serve as Managerโ€‘onโ€‘Duty (MOD) as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and labor planning
  • Proven ability to lead teams, coach performance, and build a positive culture
  • Strong problemโ€‘solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of DSHEA compliance standards preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (coolers, freezers, kitchens)
