Job description

The Gas Scheduler is responsible for tracking, managing volumes, and has daily involvement with operations and producers. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manages natural gas allocations between various points/customers on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Accounts for loss and unaccounted for gas volumes daily.
  • Prepares daily imbalance information to share with producers.
  • Regularly reviews Operational Balancing Agreement information. 
  • Interacts daily with producers, downstream pipelines, and operations.
  • Responds to both internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of the natural gas industry, including supply chains, scheduling processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in efficiently scheduling and allocating natural gas volumes among various points and customers.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and decisive decision-making in scheduling operations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in tracking, managing, and reconciling gas volumes and financial accounts.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging stakeholders and resolving inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Proficient problem-solving ability to address scheduling conflicts and operational challenges.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to managing scheduling tasks and responsibilities.
  • Collaborative team player who actively contributes to team goals and fosters a positive work environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent industry and scheduling experience
  • 1+ years of related experience is preferred
