We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Commercial Roofing Service Technician/ Helper to join our dynamic team. As a key member of a two-person team, you play a crucial role in supporting roof repair operations by assisting the Lead Technician and performing essential tasks. This role involves technical expertise, hands-on work, and customer interaction to maintain high-quality service delivery while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:Roof Repair Support:
  • Assist the Service Foreman in identifying and repairing roof deficiencies, including leak issues, and contribute to resolving small-scope tasks as required.
  • Remove old roofing materials and install new components, such as insulation, DensDeck, membranes, flashings, terminations, and counter flashings.

Technical and Installation Work:
  • Perform heat welding of membranes and handle detailed work on pipes, curbs, walls, and cricket/taper layouts according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Install metal coping caps, ensuring precise cutting, placement, and overall installation accuracy.

Customer Communication:
  • Maintain professional communication with customers during service delivery, address concerns promptly, and ensure overall satisfaction with the service provided.


Inventory and Equipment Management:
  • Manage daily inventory, ensuring accurate reporting and replenishing materials as needed.
  • Maintain company vehicles, ensuring they are properly stocked, cleaned, and ready for transport to job sites.
  • Report any vehicle or equipment issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
Safety Compliance:
  • Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with OSHA standards, roofing manufacturer requirements, and job site safety procedures.
Job Site Management:
  • Ensure job sites are prepared, loaded, and cleaned before and after work. Maintain organization and efficiency in all tasks to minimize delays and uphold a safe working environment.
Travel:
  • Drive to and from job sites, ensuring timely arrival while prioritizing safety.


Job Requirements:
  • License and Driving: Valid, clean driver’s license with the ability to drive for extended periods and navigate varying traffic conditions.

  • Experience:

    • Experience in the construction or roofing industry is preferred but not required.
    • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety management and roofing manufacturer specifications.

  • Certifications: Willingness to obtain required OSHA certifications and other relevant training as needed.

  • Flexibility: Ability to work outside of regular hours and on weekends as required by job demands.
