Position Summary
Bender CCP, a Vessco Water company, is seeking an experienced, highly motivated National Strategic Account Manager to drive sales growth through our network of Vessco Water platform partners across the United States.
This position is responsible for developing strategic relationships with partner companies, supporting their sales organizations, and identifying opportunities for rotating equipment repair, field services, engineered solutions, and aftermarket services throughout the municipal water, wastewater, industrial, and power generation markets.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary commercial and technical resource for Vessco Water platform partners, helping identify opportunities, develop solutions, and deliver exceptional customer service while expanding Bender CCP's national presence.
Primary Responsibilities
• Represent Bender CCP throughout the Vessco Water platform.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with platform partner leadership and sales teams.
• Travel throughout the United States supporting partner sales representatives on customer visits.
• Identify new business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships.
• Develop long-term strategic account plans with key partners.
• Conduct customer presentations, technical discussions, and sales meetings.
• Promote Bender CCP's rotating equipment repair, field machining, field services, and engineered solutions.
• Support customers from initial opportunity through project completion.
• Coordinate internal resources to provide timely quotations and technical solutions.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and partners regarding project status.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
• Uphold company policies, ethical business practices, and professional standards.
Platform Partner Enablement
The National Strategic Account Manager serves as the primary technical and commercial resource for Vessco Water platform partners by helping them better understand, promote, and sell Bender CCP's capabilities.
Responsibilities include:
• Develop trusted relationships with partner sales representatives, branch managers, and executive leadership.
• Train partner sales teams on Bender CCP's capabilities, services, and competitive advantages.
• Conduct Lunch & Learn presentations, technical seminars, and product training sessions.
• Accompany partner sales teams on customer visits to provide technical expertise and sales support.
• Assist partners with account planning and sales strategy.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell Bender CCP services within existing Vessco Water customer accounts.
• Support major project pursuits through joint sales calls and customer presentations.
• Help develop technical proposals, presentations, and sales documentation.
• Serve as the rotating equipment subject matter expert across the Vessco Water platform.
• Coordinate with Marketing to develop sales collateral, case studies, and promotional campaigns.
• Gather market intelligence and communicate competitive activity and emerging trends to company leadership.
• Foster collaboration among Bender CCP, Vessco Water operating companies, and strategic suppliers to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
Sales & Business Development
• Develop annual business plans with measurable sales objectives.
• Create quarterly growth plans for assigned platform partners.
• Achieve annual revenue and profitability objectives.
• Expand existing customer relationships while developing new accounts.
• Identify opportunities for service agreements and long-term partnerships.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Prepare sales forecasts and provide regular opportunity updates.
• Track sales performance against annual goals.
• Negotiate commercial agreements when appropriate.
• Continuously evaluate new market opportunities and competitive trends.
Internal Collaboration
• Attend weekly sales meetings.
• Present sales activity, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
• Share customer feedback and market intelligence.
• Work closely with estimating, engineering, production, and operations.
• Participate in production meetings as required.
• Monitor projects through completion to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist accounting with purchase order verification, invoicing, and customer communications when necessary.
• Ensure smooth transition from sales to project execution.
Travel Requirements
• Travel approximately 75% throughout the United States.
• Visit Vessco Water partner locations on a regular basis.
• Conduct customer visits alongside partner sales representatives.
• Attend trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and industry events.
• Occasional evening and weekend travel may be required.
Qualifications
Required
• Minimum five years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
